Not many premium networks go under the radar quite like Cinemax. Known mostly as the butt of a porn joke, the network should still be regarded as high quality. It's basically HBO-lite as they share pretty much the same movie catalogue (give or take a few months between airings). And Cinemax still has its fair share of original series like The Knick, Banshee and Outcast. Now it has a Mike Judge original too.
Judge's newest series --Tales from the Tour Bus -- will debut in late September. It follows country music's highest profile characters and their adventures. Artists including Johnny Paycheck, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones and Tammy Wynette are among the first set getting their own stories. Interestingly, the people are real and so are their adventures .
Judge executive produces and narrates the show that features animated interviews, live action footage and everything in between. Tales from the Tour Bus will premiere on Friday, September 22nd at 10 PM.
