More "Kids in the Hall" (might) be on the way thanks to Lorne Michaels (maybe)

Kids in the Hall is a beloved institution of comedy. Ever since it ended, the group has managed to appear in several projects together. Now, Kevin MacDonald says that Lorne Michaels wants to bring the show back for another run. This comes from an interview with News-Press (via Splitsider). 

““You’re the first guy to know this,” McDonald says. “Last night, before I got on the plane, we got a Kids in the Hall group message to all of us. (Producer) Lorne Michaels wants us to do what Mr. Show did, and do like six episodes of sketches for something like Netflix.

“It’s so at the beginning, we’re not able to even get conference calls together. There’s always one or two of us that are kind of busy. And because we are who we are, there’s always one of us against it.

“But I think, right now, there’s no one against it. … And I’ll try to get it going, because I’m the one who’s supposed to get it going. … It’s super exciting!””

Fox might want to bring back "King of the Hill," yep

The good days of Fox's Animation Domination block have been long gone for a few years now. While The Simpsons and Family Guy remain in their timeslots, Bob's Burgers airs in spurts and American Dad was sent to a (better) home on cable. Efforts to find good shows to follow the main anchors have been in play for a while with failures like Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life and Bordertown being cycled out in favor of live action hits Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine Nine that one season. 

Now, though, Fox is interested in at least exploring the option to bring back King of the Hill. The Hollywood Reporter writes that Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden said that there were "preliminary conversations" with creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. 

““We have had preliminary conversations with Greg and Mike,” Walden said. “I would like to explore that [further] with Mike and Greg,” Walden added. “Given what’s going on in the country [under President Trump], I think they have a point of view about how those characters would respond. But it was one meeting. I hope to revisit it.”

Walden was quick to note that both Daniels and Judge “are very busy,” and stressed that the meeting was “a first, exploratory [conversation]…. It’s about finding time [to do it].””

Even thouugh talks are still early, both of the creators are super busy. Daniels is showrunning the TBS show People of Earth and Judge is doing that Silicon Valley show. 

'Will and Grace' is most definitely returning to NBC

After months of the most obvious will they, won't they banter in sitcom history, Will & Grace is finally set to return to NBC. The new season will be the show's ninth and consists of ten episodes. The original series ran from 1998 to 2006. An election themed mini-episode is what brought the show back into the cultural zeitgeist. 

Talks of the revival started back in October after the election video made waves in the previous month, garnering millions of views. A few months went by with scant details coming here and there. Earlier in the month, TV Line reported that series recurring actor Leslie Jordan had let out the show was coming back. One of the main actors, Debra Messing, was quick to deny the claim. But it turns out Jordan was right on the money. So...take that, Messing.

That Will & Grace revival has and has not been picked up yet

With remakes and revivals bringing already canceled shows back into our modern TV era, it's no wonder that even the obscurest of shows should return. Netflix gives Fuller House an 18 episode third season even though the second premiered to less than stellar numbers and has been pulling up majorly less than earnest reviews? Sure, why not. The latest show to garner the attention of revival rumors is NBC's Will & Grace which made headlines with a political short back in September of 2016. Talks of bringing the show back began but nothing had been confirmed.

That is until yesterday. TV Line reported that actor Leslie Jordan, who played frenemy Beverly Leslie to Megan Mullally's Karen, said in a radio interview with KPBS that the show had been picked up for ten episodes. He even said shooting was to begin in the summer. There's no doubt that discussions to have another go at Will & Grace have already began but that doesn't cement the show's future. Case in point: Debra Messing tweeted her response to the whole ordeal.

So, as of right now, the show is still in the early stages. NBC has yet to speak on the situation. Talks about a Will & Grace revival has apparently been in full swing since October, just after the political short premiered.
