Boy, Louis C.K. sure does love to work. While taking a break from his FX series, the few movies he's done and producing a handful of other TV shows for FX, C.K. made a new web series called Horace & Pete for his fans. The first episode -- and what I presume may be the only episode -- was released unexpectedly to the world via C.K.'s website. It's a monster and runs about 67 minutes. The cast feature C.K. and Steve Buscemi as two guys who run a century old Brooklyn bar. The supporting cast features big names like Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Edie Falco, Aidy Bryant, Nick DiPaolo, Steven Wright, Kurt Metzger, and others. Who knows when the second episode will drop. It could be this week or next year. Louis is one finicky man. The first episode of Horace & Pete will only run you five dollars so check it out.
Vimeo wants to help female directors, starts by releasing Aidy Bryant led film
There's a strange phenomenon going on in the weird world of Hollywood. White men are getting less and less noticed in favor of young minorities and women. Sure there is still a huge, HUGE divide but, slowly, the business is equaling out. According to Variety, Vimeo wants to shorten that divide considerably. The artsy streaming service is backing a new program that aims to foster and educate female directors as well as finance their projects. "Share the Screen" as it's called will bring about at least five new movies with female led voices in 2016 alone.
The first movie is called Darby Forever and stars one of SNL's current funniest cast members, Aidy Bryant. The trailer was released today and the movie features Bryant, Natasha Lyonne and Retta. Bryant's Darby works as a fabric shop girl who is more into daydreaming than dealing with customers and she also longs for the love of the delivery man, Nick. Vimeo plans on releasing Darby Forever on Thursday, February 18.

Guys, Florence + The Machine is playing SNL this weekend. Oh and I guess Reese Witherspoon is hosting or something. The badasses that Reese and Aidy are, they decided to cut out on the promos, walking away from the show, and comment on how 14 have passed since Reese was last on stage at SNL.

Three time SNL host Dwayne The Rock Johnson is coming back this weekend for a fourth time, promoting some movie that I'm probably going to see. In these SNL promos, he and Bobby Moynihan talk about their porn names, he and Aidy rehash his old catch phrase, and both sets recognize his massive muscles.
