Jenny Slate is on top of the world right now. News released last week that she was seeing Captain America himself, Chris Evans, and now the comedy star is headed back to work with her Obvious Child team. Reporting from Cannes, The Hollywood Reporter says that Slate is set to star in writers Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm's new film, Landline. This will be the three's third collaboration after Obvious Child and a 2015 FX pilot. John Turturro, Edie Falco, and Jay Duplass are on board as well. Check out the synopsis below:
Louis C.K. has a new web series (short?) featuring Steve Buscemi, Alan Alda and more
Boy, Louis C.K. sure does love to work. While taking a break from his FX series, the few movies he's done and producing a handful of other TV shows for FX, C.K. made a new web series called Horace & Pete for his fans. The first episode -- and what I presume may be the only episode -- was released unexpectedly to the world via C.K.'s website. It's a monster and runs about 67 minutes. The cast feature C.K. and Steve Buscemi as two guys who run a century old Brooklyn bar. The supporting cast features big names like Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Edie Falco, Aidy Bryant, Nick DiPaolo, Steven Wright, Kurt Metzger, and others. Who knows when the second episode will drop. It could be this week or next year. Louis is one finicky man. The first episode of Horace & Pete will only run you five dollars so check it out.
