The lineup for the 2018 Moontower Festival includes Tiffany Haddish, Mike Birbiglia and more

Austin, Texas is known for its food and festivals. This being a comedy site, we're here to talk about the latter half. The Moontower Festival announced its 2018 lineup today and, of course, there are big names aplenty. Tig Notaro, Tiffany Haddish, Weird Al Yankovic, Nikki Glaser, Mike Birbiglia, Janeane Garofalo, Colin Quinn, Jo Koy and David Cross are among the headliners. Andy Kindler, Janelle James, Laurie Kilmartin, Julio Torres, Emily Heller, Judah Friedlander, Yamaneika Saunders, the Sklar Bros, and others make up the rest of the non-headlining acts. The Moontower Festival is currently selling badges starting at $99. The entire event goes from April 18 to the 21st of April at the Paramount Theater in Austin.

Comedy Central is bringing some of its shows to New York Comic Con

Comedy Central is no stranger to the festival circuit. They love festivals so much, they started their own. But, with their diverse fanbase and variety of shows, the network is able to reach well into other avenues of entertaining its viewers. All of this is to say that Comedy Central is returning to New York Comic Con. This time, they're bringing along South Park, The President Show, and Drunk History. 

South Park will sport an interactive instillation called “Member Berries Challenge” that will put viewers inside a 3D scene from the Member Berries episode. Fans will be asked three questions as they sit in Sharon and Shelly's chairs. Right answers net you Member Berry and NY Comic-Con exclusive T-shirt but wrong answers will have Randy spit juice from his mouth.

The President Show hosts played by Anthony Atamanuik and Peter Grosz will host a panel to be moderated by Sam Seder. Fans will get behind the scenes of the show as well as participate in a Q&A.

Finally, Drunk History's Derek Waters, Jeremy Konner, and recurring narrators Katie Nolan, Amber Ruffin and Duncan Trussell will participate in a panel that will tell viewers how the narration process works. Jack MacBrayer will moderate.

Upright Citizens Brigade founders to reunite at Carnegie Hall next year

Fans of improv and alternative comedy are in f or a treat. The founding members of the Upright Citizens Brigade are coming together for a new sketch showcase at Carnegie Hall. On Thursday, June 28, 2018, Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts are taking A.S.S.S.C.A.T. to the stage for one night only.

The performance is a part of the 20th annual Del Close Marathon where comedy fans celebrate the work of the festival's titular man.

Tickets, of course, cannot be bought yet. This year's Del Close Marathon recently came to a close this past weekend. Lots of big names join the 2017 Just For Laughs lineup

Canadians have all the fun. They get free health care; there hasn't been any major destruction in their cities; and they have the biggest comedy festival in the world taking place in Montreal. And this year's lineup for the festival looks magnificent. The 35th annual Just For Laughs Festival has landed an all-star bunch of comedians including Jerry Seinfeld, Ali Wong, Kevin Hart, Judd Apatow, Trevor Noah, Natasha Leggero, and Moshe Kasher among others. Additionally, there will be live podcast recordings like Jake and Amir's If I Were You and Jon Gabrus's High & Mighty. The full lineup and tickets can be found here.

Comedy Central's Colossal Clusterfest keeps adding comedy acts

It's been a little over a month since the announcement of Comedy Central's own stand up comedy festival but those guys have just added more acts to their ranks. And there's going to be music bands too. So the likes of Jerry Seinfeld will be joined by musicians like Ice Cube.

Today, the network announced that additional acts will also be in attendance. Performances from Hasan Minhaj and TJ Miller are among the new lineup. Miller will also be hosting a live version of his new show -- The Gorburger Show -- and special events from Rachel Bloom, the Broad City ladies, and Chris Gethard and more will join in as well. All of this on top of interactive attractions from South Park, Seinfeld, and Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Check out the new fun times below.
