Music lovers rejoice as the 2016 Grammy nominations were announced this morning. However, among the musicians and singers alike were some of the top comedians who had their own audiophile styled releases this year. Amy Poehler was nominated for her work reading her book Yes Please and Craig Ferguson, Wyatt Cenac and Louis C.K. were given nods for their latest standup releases. The Grammys will air on Monday February 15 on CBS. Check out the nominations below.
Wyatt Cenac To Debut Netflix Special On October 21, Touring Too
Netflix is set to debut former Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac's new special Brooklyn on October 21st. Deadline reported today that the comedian is also releasing the special as an limited print vinyl LP through his production company Amalgamated Bear.
The special was recorded in the city it's named after at Union Hall. Topics include a cop drama, probably a reality show about cheesemongers and the weirdness of adults giving each other hickies. Brooklyn will feature puppets as well as cameos from comedian Eugene Mirman (Bobs Burgers) and Gbenga Akinnagbe from The Wire.
Cenac will tour through the US in twelve series including San Francisco, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh.
