Setting up a movie that will almost assuredly make you laugh and cry, Tig is a documentary chronicling comedian Tig Notaro's tragic 2012. Using archival footage and new interviews, the documentary will tell the story of how Tig dealt with her mother passing away and diagnosis of her breast cancer. If you haven't heard her talk about it before, it's really wonderful. Notaro deals with death and sadness using comedy and her relationships with those around her. Tig will premiere on Netflix on July 17.

Sam Simon is a 'Rebel with a Cause,' Documentary Airs this Sunday
The Simpsons co creator Sam Simon passed away earlier this week. To celebrate his life, Fusion is airing Rebel with a Cause: The Sam Simon Story, a documentary the two parties made to showcase Simon's work with his Sam Simon Foundation. Fusion was given the rights to document the final months of Simon's life back in August.
“Our hope is to pay tribute to his life and career while also sparking an important conversation about animal rights and empowering young people to be a catalyst for change,” said Fuson CEO Isaac Lee when the project was announced last summer.
Rebel with a Cause: The Sam Simon Story will air Sunday at 8 PM.
