Issa Rae and Bill Hader are heading to the movies together. Earlier this week, Rae joined Hader in the movie Empress of Serenity. Hader takes on the role of a man trying to win back his ex-wife while also being stuck on a month long cruise. The Hollywood Reporter says Rae's role will be the woman in the cabin next door. The movie is was written and directed by Jesse Andrews who also wrote the great Me and Earl and The Dying Girl. Hader's HBO show also premieres later this year while Rae's Insecure returns for season two in July.

Web series turned television series Billy on the Street, hosted by comedian turned actor Billy Eichner, is back for a fourth season next month on its new cable home truTV. Entertainment Weekly says guest stars will be abound as per usual for the show. Newly announced Bill Hader, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jason Sudekis are joining previously announced Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Chris Pratt, Anna Kendrick and Julianne Moore. Billy on the Street migrated from Fuse network to truTV this year. The fourth season will premiere on October 8 at 10:30 PM.
Bill Hader, Seth Meyers discuss IFC's 'Documentary Now!' and its double season renewal on 'Late Night'
Documentary Now! hasn't even aired yet and IFC has awarded the mockumentary series with a double season renewal. Last night on Late Night, Now! creator Bill Hader mentioned it during his interview with Seth Meyers. That means not only is the show coming back for a second season but it also has a third season to deal with. On top of that, the comedian dropped some big names of the show's guest stars including John Slattery, Paula Pell, Kack Black, and Helen Mirren. Documentary Now! premieres August 20 on IFC but you can watch their VICE parody DRONEZ right now.

If Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Seth Meyers came to you and said "hey we want to make a show," would you let them do it? That's exactly what IFC did with the trio's latest effort Documentary Now! (formally known as American Documentary). According to Splitsider, SNL's own Rhys Thomas and Alex Buono are directing the series which will run for six half hour episodes. A slew of guest stars are slated to appear including Jack Black, John Slattery, Irving Azoff, Aidy Bryant, Mike O'Brien, Paula Pell, and Tim Robinson. To top it all off, the fictional band made by Armisen, the Blue Jean Committee, wll appear on the show too. Documentary Now! is set to premiere Thursday, August 20th at 10:00pm.
