The Cleveland Show writer J Lee is teaming up with Seth MacFarlane in order to create a show about two black dudes. And also J Lee is black. 2 Black Dudes is a single camera comedy to be produced by Fox. The story goes like this: "two cousins with two completely different perspectives on life, now live in Los Angeles and continuously bump heads on everything from religion, sex, politics, and being black in America all the way down to who’s the best ninja turtle." Lee is writing, MacFarlane is executive producing and Mike Mariano of Raising Hope fame is showrunning. Lee has been with MacFarlane for some time starting as a receptionist for Family Guy, then eventually writing for the series alongside its spinoff The Cleveland Show and American Dad.
'Bob's Burgers' to Continue Cooking into Sixth Season, Well Done
Fox's funny sounding stepchild Bob's Burgers has reached an achievement that Arrested Development, Sit Down Shut Up, and The Critic never got to see: a sixth season.
Despite the show not being a ratings powerhouse, the network has ordered 22 episodes of the show to be produced. Fans have been clamoring over Bob's Burgers since its initial premiere. They love the show's quirky characters and witty writing. But that can be said about any other show.
Bob's Burgers has suffered through time slot changes though. However, this past fall, it held 100% of its season premiere rating in Week 2. In layman's terms, that means the show had a lot of viewers for an episode.
Bob's Burgers airs at 7:30 PM on Sundays.
The Simpsons Meet The Simpsons
The Flintstones and The Jetsons. Family Guy and The Simpsons. Futurama and The Simpsons. The Simpsons and The Simpsons??
You read that right. Entertainment Weekly reports that the iconic yellow skinned family will be meeting the early Tracey Ullman-version of themselves in this years' Treehouse of Horror episode. The crossover will be a take on The Others and follow the Simpsons as they "are haunted by another ghostly family living in the house."
Oddly enough, this will be the first time the pre-show family will have a prominent story - they'd been featured as gags for years. Cast members will have to dig deep in order to find their past voices. It should be easy enough for Dan Castellaneta but Julie Kavner will have to make her voice deeper and more gravely.
Producer Al Jean is excited for this crossover to happen:
“We’ve implied that they were murdered and buried under the house, so this is expanding that thought,” says Jean, adding: “If people want a real Halloween bloodbath, they get it.”
The episode airs on October 19 on FOX.
Help Chris O' Dowd Make Testicles Fly For Charity
The IT Crowd and Bridesmaids star Chris O' Dowd needs your help with putting a pair of testicles in the sky. Yes. A giant sky bound set of testicles. Or as Dowd puts it: "build the world’s biggest—and probably only—pair of flying bollocks!”
This is in conjunction with the British charity Male Cancer Awareness Campaign to help raise publicity for their newest campaign. Using an Indiegogo page, the two camps hope to bring to light the problem that is testicular cancer. The project's page puts it as men need to check for early signs of male cancers.
The campaign, affectionately named Skyballs, will use Family Guy's Peter Griffin's chin as the template for the aforementioned manbag.
Donators can expect prizes like a Peter Griffin chin balls shirt, a flight on the balloon, or a free delivery of you and your best man to your wedding. There are 47 days left and they have $11,169 out of their hopeful $60,000. Donate money here.
