It's going down. For real. Ever since HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm was said to be coming back, no news of the ninth season had been released. Now, we have casting. Deadline reports that both Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson will play themselves again. What's more is that they're slated to join the full time cast made up of Larry David, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines and Susie Essman. Fans of the first eight seasons will know that both actors appeared as themselves from time to time but now that they're big players in the new season, this should open up more possibilities for stories with the main cast.
Ted Danson returning to comedy in new NBC show from Mike Schur, Kristen Bell comes too
In a move seen by no one who really cares, Ted Danson joined Mike Schur's new NBC comedy. And he'll also be joined by House of Pie -- sorry, Lies' -- Kristen Bell. Good Place, the show, was ordered straight to series with 13 episodes according to Deadline. Bell is said to be staying on with Showtime's dramedy House of Lies while Danson will definitely not be returning to CSI: Cyber. The summer series "centers on Eleanor (Bell), a woman from New Jersey who comes to realize that she hasn’t been a very good person. She decides to turn over a new leaf by learning what it actually means to be “good” or “bad,” and then trying to make up for her past behavior. Danson plays Michael, who, through an unlikely set of circumstances, comes to be Eleanor’s guide through her self-designed self-improvement course."
