Four comedy shows have secured their positions for another season.
truTV's debut sketch show Friends of the People has been renewed for a ten episode second season. Variety reports that the network is "continuing to take big swings in new spaces with original series that are innovative, surprising and irresistibly shareable,” said TruTV prexy Chris Linn.
And Adult Swim has renewed a few of their shows as well. The late night Turner station is bringing back Mike Tyson's Mysteries, Black Jesus, and Mr. Pickles for new seasons. Black Jesus ranks No. 1 in its time period among all targeted adult and male demos. Mr. Pickles has averaged almost 1.5 million total viewers in the cable net’s key young adult demo since its premiere.
