Ike Barinholtz and John Cena will make their starring debuts next to Leslie Mann in a new Kay Cannon comedy. That was a mouthful. Variety reports that the movie -- The Pact -- comes from a slew of writers: Eben Russell, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and brothers Brian and Jim Kehoe. It follows three parents who try to stop their daughters from losing their virginity on prom night. The movie is said to be produced by Point Grey (consisting of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver), Good Universe, Hurwitz & Schlossberg Productions, and DMG.
Leslie Mann is getting her own movie from serial 'Hangover' enthusiasts Jon Lucas and Scott Moore
When a husband and wife in Hollywood work together, there's always a sense of accomplishment on the viewer's part and their's. Don't you love pretending like you're part of their life? No? Never mind. Just kidding. Deadline reports that producer/husband Judd Apatow and actress/wife Leslie Mann are making another movie together. The untitled, R-rated comedy is going to be written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore -- two guys who can't seem figure out why those other guys keep losing their friend Doug. The only detail we have is that the film is female driven and deals with a "woman and the challenges of motherhood." Here's hoping Apatow will get a weird caricature of himself to play her husband and he subtly adds his own problems with his wife into the movie.
