David Letterman's first guest on his Netflix show is the last good president

David Letterman has been off the air for two years now yet his eagerness to return knows no bounds. That's why he teamed up with Netflix to do another talk show. For a few months now, mum has been the word on the series but now we finally have a few details.

According to Deadline, Letterman's new show is titled My Guest Needs No Introduction and his first interview is a ginormous. President Barack Obama is tapped to talk with the host about all things presidential.

Other guests will include George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern. My Guest Needs No Introduction will also include field segments and interviews beyond the traditional studio setting.

The first episode premieres on Netflix on January 12 with the remaining five airing monthly throughout the year. Future episodes haven't been mentioned. 

It's worth noting that Letterman doing an online series is in stark contrast as to what he said in 2015 when asked about late night making the rounds on YouTube.

Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show' has its First Week Guests

News about The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been barreling out of CBS as of late in order to ready viewers for the first episodes. Now, the first set of guests have been announced and they are some pretty big names. Actors like George Clooney, comedians like Amy Schumer and business people like Elon Musk are all slated for the first week. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres on Tuesday, September 8th. Check out the first week of guest below:

Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph to help Bill Murray & Sofia Coppola celebrate Christmas

Way back in October 2014, it was reported that Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray were going to make a Christmas special together. Now, there is a definite cast. Amy Poehler, Miley Cyrus and Maya Rudolph will reportedly play themselves. And lo and behold George Clooney Almighty is gracing the special with his presence too. My guess is that Poehler and Rudolph are Murray's Christmas Past ghosts; Clooney is his Christmas Future; and Cyrus is the Christmass Present because that's all that's left. The story of the special apparently follows Murray as he tries to avoid being signed by a ruthless talent agent.
