Comedy Central has made up its mind on several shows today.
First, it ordered the Natasha Leggero (Ugly Americans; My dreams) and Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel in Garfunkel and Oates; Hell Baby) comedy, Another Period to series. The show follows the adventures of two sisters in Newport, Road Island. They are self centered and shallow, only worrying about their popularity status in the world. The thing that separates this show from any show on E! is that it takes place in 1902. The pilot includes many famous faces including Tom Lennon and Michael Ian Black. It looks to be a winner.
The second show is Idiotsitter from the minds of Charlotte Newhouse and Jillain Bell (Workaholics). It follows a straight laced nanny (Newhouse) who is hired to babysit a rich-lady womanchild (Bell) who happens to be under house arrest. The interesting thing about this show is that it is the second digital series produced by CC Studios to make its way to the slightly larger screen. It must be insanely funny if it can get an upgrade like this. Watch the original series here.
The big C also renewed a few of my favorite shows. Thanks guys! Inside Amy Schumer, Review, and Trip Tank are all continuing life on the comedy network. Each are getting a third, second and whopping 20 episode second season respectively.
