In June, comedian Tracy Morgan was involved in a crash when his limousine bus carrying him and some of his friends was hit by a semi-truck causing a six-car pile up and overturning Morgan’s vehicle. Friend and fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair was killed and Morgan was put into intensive care. His condition was later upgraded to “fair.”
The Walmart driver of the semi-truck, Kevin Roper, had been reportedly awake for over 24 hours. He pled not guilty to several charges including vehicular homicide and is out on bail at the moment.
The Hollywood Reporter is now saying that Morgan and a decent amount of others involved in the crash are going to take Walmart to court over the wreck. In the complaint, they cite that “Walmart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries.”
The plantiffs, which include Morgan’s assistant, Jeffrey Millea, his wife Krista Millea and comedian Ardie Fuqua, are suing for negligence.
Morgan left the hospital on June 20 and is now in a reheab facility.
