Seeso announced its summer premiere slate

Seeso is a comedy fan's dream. It's got so many original shows from our favorite podcasters/improvisors on top of some pretty decent gets like old SNL and that Monty Python gang if that's you're thing. Today, the site announced the shows that will premiere in the summer. We already knew about two returning shows: the second season of Jonah Ray's Hidden America premieres on May 4 and Kulap Vilaysack's Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ starts its third season on June 1. Additionally, today we also learned that the second season (and, apparently, first part) of Dan Harmon's HarmonQuest airs on July 27. But there are a bunch of new things to check out too.

July 13 will see the premiere of Flula Borg's Flulanthropy, which is about Borg's promise to become the "greatest philanthropist of all time." Paul Reiser's much anticipated There's...Johnny! is coming on August 24. It's set in the 70's during The Tonight Show's New York to Burbank move.  

The Sklar Brothers will air their new special, Hipster Ghosts, on September 14. The brothers are said to hit topics like canine racism and who might be haunting from the afterlife. September 21 will see the bow for Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney's eight episode Get Krackin. All this for $4? We are spoiled.

Seeso renews "Night Train" for another ride

Fans of stand up showcases and obscure streaming platforms are in for a treat. NBC's Seeso has renewed Wyatt Cenac's Night Train for season two, Deadline reports. The series is a take on the live show in Brooklyn where comedians like Michelle Buteau, Chris Gethard, Emma Willmann, Giulia Rozzi, Jonah Ray and a host of others take on elongated sets. The series is one of the few to showcase an entire program as episodes air are usually an hour and half in length.

Night Train isn't the only Seeso show to be renewed. Earlier this month, Kulap Vilaysacks' Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ nabbed a two season renewal for seasons three and four. Seeso is available online and through Amazon's Prime Video service for a meager $4. It's really good if you like original comedies, exclusive stand up and old Saturday Night Live.

Seeso picks up Just For Laughs series ‘Funny As Hell’

Seeso seesaw an opportunity and took it. The NBC based streaming service added another comedy series to its roster today with Funny As Hell from Canada’s own Just For Laughs comedy festival. Six episodes will be produced and will start shooting on July 26th. Funny As Hell is a standup series that airs on HBO Canada, a channel that is only watched by moose and whatever the hell a canuck is. This will be the show’s sixth season and host Jon Dore is set to return. Featured comedians include Cameron Esposito, Eugene Mirman, Janeane Garofalo, Beth Stelling, Aparna Nancherla, Kurt Metzger, Emo Philips and more.

Hop on Wyatt Cenac’s ‘Night Train’ with these clips

Seeso’s offerings are getting admittedly robust and this next one is no different. Tomorrow, June 30th will be the premiere of Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, a comedy show that features a variety of performers. Included acts are Eugene Mirman, Scott Adsit, Janeane Garofalo and more. And apparently H. Jon Benjamin did his set in a cat suit complete with a cute button nose. Head to Seeso to see the series and, in the meantime, check out some clips below.

Seeso just can't stop, orders Michael Ian Black hosted show

Having already ordered a bunch of other shows, Seeso decided to up the gamut by ordering yet another series, this time from Michael Ian Black. The show is called Debate Wars and six episodes are on the way. Splitsider reports that two teams made up of comedians and improvisers will enter the "Debatium;" one will leave. In said battle arena, topics will include cats vs dogs and babies vs old people. A live audience will watch as comics such as Janeane Garofalo, Judah Friedlander, Gilbert Gottfried, Eugene Mirman, Aparna Nancherla, and Todd Barry make jokes in an attempt to become the winning team.
