The Carmichael Show may be gone from the airwaves but that won't stop its stars from shining. Jerrod Carmichael and Lil Rel Howery have gotten back to basics and brought a new multicamera comedy to Fox. However, The Hollywood Reporter says only Howery will be acting in the series.
Howery will star as a man whose creed is “always believe in yourself and great things will come." But, with his wife having an affair with his barber, that can be hard to do. The Chicago based series will have Howery rebuilding his life from the ground up after divorce.
Carmichael and Mike Scully will executive produce. Howery, Josh Rabinowitz and Kevin Barnett will pen the script. The yet to be titled series already has a put pilot commitement. THR also says this show comes from a first-look deal Carmichael signed with 20th Century Fox Television last month.
