Producers love a straight to series order. Those are hard to obtain but Kenya Barris isn't worried. His relationship with ABC has proven fruitful and now he's getting another show.

Along with Julie Bean, Barris has sold a straight-to-series show to the alphabetical network with Alec Baldwin maybe attached to star. This is according to Deadline. The synopsis is easy to follow too: “a stuck-in-his-ways, opinionated, fading TV star who moves in with his progressive daughter, her girlfriend and the child they are raising together.”

Both Barris and Bean will showrun the series that's coming in the 2018-2019 season.
