Like Paul Scheer? Like Rob Huebel? Like Uber? Well then, you’re in luck. All three of those things are getting into business together (well, not really Uber). Deadline is reporting that the two comedians are taking their love of Uber and turning it into a ten episode series called Drive Share. The half hour series comes from Insurrection Media and should begin production next month. Drive Share follows the “Uberification” of ride sharing as drivers take interesting people around town. Scheer and Huebel have previously dipped their toe into automotive comedy so this show should be a hit.The guys from Burning Love, Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn, are on board as executive producers. Drive Share will appear on something called Seriously.TV later this year.
Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer and friends 'Crash Test' a bus
Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer are taking comedy on the road of Los Angeles in a new special called Crash Test. Exclusive to Vimeo, Crash Test is a comedy special that takes place entirely on a glass bus. The two leads ride around with an audience as they run into their famous friends including Natasha Leggero, Aziz Ansari, Rob Corddry, Aubrey Plaza, and more getting into some wacky situations. Along with the comedy, Earl Sweatshirt stopped by to perform a few songs. It's like Dave Chappelle's Block Party is it was entirely on a bus which doesn't sound half bad. Check out the special on Vimeo when it releases on August 18.
