If you're a friend of Melissa McCarthy, chances are you could be cast in one of her TV projects. Annie Mumolo has been cast in Amy's Brother as the titular Amy. Variety says the show is about a high energy man and his estranged sister and her children move in under one roof. Jim Cashman and Mitch Silpa wrote the pilot and will co-executive produce the show. McCarthy will also executive produce.
Fox picked up Amy's Brother to pilot this past fall. This marks one of a few shows that McCarthy is working on after CBS canceled Mike and Molly. The first is a TV Land series she's co-producing with her husband Ben Falcone called Nobodies. That show was ordered to series in summer of 2016.
