It's official: James Corden is the hardest working man in late night. First he comes to America, takes a hardworking white American man's job, and becomes a viral star. Then he sells a show to CBS who in turn sells the show to Apple Music. Now one of his other segments is becoming a TV show. If you haven't seen "Drop The Mic," it involves famous people displaying their fire rapping skills and putting their counterparts on blast. It works so well and no one's feelings are hurt (that we know of).

TBS has greenlit a full series based on that segment that will be executive produced by Corden, Ben Winston, Jensen Karp and former battle rapper Hot Karl. For this version of "Drop The Mic," four celebrities will do raps to one another and the audience will judge the winners (probably using claps).

"Drop The Mic," like Corden's Late Late Show, hasn't been around for long. But the star power it has attracted has been substantial. Anne Hathaway, Kevin Hart, Dave Franco and Rebel Wilson are among the lucky talent to have already participated and equally destroyed. This is the third show overall to derive from a late night segment in recent memory; Jimmy Fallon's Lip Sync Battle was the first. The first episode order for the "Drop The Mic" the show is sixteen and should bow in 2017.
