Months after airing a 20 year "reunion" special of sorts, the CW has announced that it will fully bring back MADtv as a primetime series. No return date has been revealed but eight hour long episodes and cast members - both new and old - are in. Hosts will include celebrities and some of the original cast members (think Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Mo Collins, Phil Lamaar and the like). The original run of MADtv took place on Saturday nights on FOX from 1999-2009. 300 episodes are currently available on CW's streaming service, Seed. MADtv will join The CW's revived Whose Line Is It Anyway? which performs well apparently.
