And so it was foretold that after Reggie Watts leaves Comedy Bang! Bang! later this year, young Kid CuDi is to take his place. IFC fulfilled the prophecy today.

Host and creator Scott Aukerman is excited for the change:

“I can’t wait to start this new chapter of Comedy Bang! Bang! with Kid Cudi....When he was on the couch, I knew he had charisma and star quality, but I thought he should move slightly camera right. Plus, my wife and I have been trying to have a kid for several years, and this is the next best thing.”

Watts is set to begin an even later night shift on the Late Late Show but he will remain on Bang! Bang! for the first 20 episodes of the current fourth season until June 5 (thanks to the magic of television). You can see CuDi on this week's episode as a couch guest.

Expect to see Cud's fresh and funky beats beginning July 10 at 11 PM.
