Lorne Michaels and his merry band of comedians have added a few more people to their already over packed 40th anniversary show guest list.
This Sunday, you can expect to see almost everyone who has been on SNL along with the newly added Billy Crystal, Edward Norton, Bradly Cooper, Miley Cyrus, and ex-cast members Kevin Nealon, Ana Gasteyer, Colin Quinn, Joe Piscopo, Tim Meadows and Will Forte. The rest of the list can be found here.
NBC also decided to give the show an extra half hour making the total run time from 8 PM to 11:30 PM or 3 1/2 hours. This coupled with the news that there will be more live aspects of the special - per Michaels during an interview with THR - should make even the least avid fan of SNL ever more excited.
In related news, a new, non James Franco directed documentary focused on SNL is due out in April. Tribeca Film Festival goers will be the first to experience Live From New York beginning on April 15. It should have everything you would ever want for a comprehensive look at SNL's history from "archival footage" to "commentary from past and present cast members, journalists, hosts and crew, among others."
