Surprising absolutely no one, SNL has finally added the funny and crass Leslie Jones as a featured cast member.

This is a long time coming seeing as they have had her act in several sketches. Deadline reports that her first episode will be this week's that is hosted by Jim Carrey. Jones was hired as a writer in early 2014. She auditioned for the featured cast spot that ultimately went to the still under used Sasheer Zamata.

Jones established her on screen persona during Weekend Update segments. Audiences quickly took to her.

It's just like in real life when a white person has that one black friend that they say they love but won't talk to other black people. Yeah, that's right; I know your racket white people!
